If we open the add printer wizard and choose Network printer, a printer is available that is no longer associated with a particular client.
And I cannot delete the printer from that screen... How do I remove the printerserver from this server. We tried removing the user and adding again. Did not work.
Here is a screen grab of what I am talking about. The printer/server labled Shipping is the one we are trying to remove without success.

We deleted the user and took the computer off the network. The shipping name still shows up in that one printer location on the server.. Very strange.

Removing the computer from the network is not what Sanchez is saying. You need to delete the Shipping Computer account from your NT Server.
Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!

Deleted User Shipping and it still shows up in that one spot..
I also searched the regedt32 for anything with Shipping and deleted the key (only 2 spots). And yet it still shows up.

Something that might shed a little more light..
I started looking more closely at where else the Shipping comp was on the server.. Network Neighborhood
So I deleted the user 'Shipping' and rebooted the server.
It still shows up in the Network Neighborhood, so how do I delete a User from Network Neighborhood? I think if I can figure out how to delete it from here, I might have a shot at it..New screen grab:

nevermind. got it.
i left network neighborhood open for 2 hours and then when i refreshed it disappeared. i think it took a little while for it to work it's way through the system..?
thanks for the help everyone.

It should only take 15 min for the account to disappear BUT, if you arent manually refreshing the window or you havent closed it and reopened it, it will stay there. In the future, hit F5 with the window open to refresh it.
