Yes.

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/software.html

Go there and search on HP Laserjet III. You should be able to download the appropriate drivers you need from their website.

Quite honestly though, if the printer is attached to the NT machine and shared, you should install the Win98 driver locally on each machine that needs to access it... not on the NT machine itself. You can store it there, but not install it.

The driver is not present on HP site ! The HP III is too old.

& I meet to store the driver, so my Win98 Client machine can download the driver directly from my server.

& Finally I succeed by copying
hppcl5ms.DRV
UNIDRV.DLL
UNIDRV.HLP
ICONLIB.DLL
finstall.dll
FINSTALL.HLP

All these file are present in windows 98
So if someone else have my problem he can solve it that way !

dear J-P,

I'm trying to install HP LaserJet IIIP under Win 98, also. However, my Win98 SE CD doesn't have all the required files (the 6 files you mentioned above).

Would you send those 6 files to my e-mail address please?

I am having the same problem, need the same files for my HP LaserJet 4L. I was able to find these:

finstall.dll
iconlib.dll
pjlmon.dll
unidrv.dll

on the internet but cannot find these:

finstall.hlp
unidrv.hlp
hppel5ms.drv

Can someone help by sending me these to laliu@rice.edu?

It would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem. The dll files are easier to find.

Goto www.dllstorage.com.ua to find all the .dll files you need.

The .hlp files are much harder to find
Goto http://www.fcav.unesp.br/download/pub/util/impressoras/ibm/239xwin/

for unidrv.hlp

and goto
http://www.fh-amberg-weiden.de/einrichtungen/rz/download/Hewlett%20Packard/HP_Drucker/HP%20LaserJet/HP_LJ4l/

for finstall.hlp
(It's best to just copy and paste)

These all worked as of 5/12/02.

I hope it helps!
