I'd like to set up an old copy of NT4 Server with Options Pack 4.0 as a stand alone web server in order to do my own web site hosting. Is the IIS included with this capable of this, or is there a newer version of the option pack available for download? From what I understand from the documentation on my OP CD, the IIS included will only support an intranet. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi,

I don't know about NT4 IIS.

It may have been called something different.

But in w2k, after wasting 3 days trying to get IIS set up, I got Apache up in a few hours.

And Apache is free.

The stock IIS will be hacked within seconds of going live...and now that M$ has dropped NT support, further fixes won't be forthcoming.
