Hello Team

I'm trying to work out a way to allow win98 users who are validated by an NT4 server to be able to log onto one machine at a time only. Now then, I realise that I can designate 8 machines that a user is allowed to log onto though UMFD, but this is not what I'm trying to do, what i really want is to allow only one instance of a user to be logged onto the network at a time, so a user may log onto ANY workstation, but he can't log onto another machine until he has logged off the one he is currently on. Any ideas?

Thanks

Rowland

You can configure the account to login only in a machine. Use the "logon to" button and type the name of the machine of the user.
He can not login every where, only in one machine always.
It not you solution, but can help you

thanks, but as I mentioned, I am aware of this feature of user manager for domains. I dont want a user to be restricted to 8 workstations, but I do want a user to only be able to log onto ANY one machine (out of about a LAN of 50) at any one time, so that they must logoff one machine before they are able to use another one
