I have a Dell Latitude laptop that will not boot. NT was just loaded on the drive. After the OS loader runs and the NT boot screen appears the laptop stops responding, the little dots never appear on the screen. I have to pull the battery to get it to turn off. Any ideas?

It looks like you have the wrong Display Drivers installed. Try if you can boot the machine in VGA mode. Once you have logged on in VGA mode, check your Video Driver. Some Video Drivers need to have at least SP4 installed before they will work probably.

I have the same problem with HP Vectras... NT will stop responding at the boot screen. Booting to VGA mode has the same result. These machines have been fine for about 2 years, now all of a sudden this happens.

I have tried to restore using the HP restore CD, with no change. I have tried using the NT boot disks, tried to reinstall NT, with no change. Others have said the motherboards may be fried, but that is not the problem. I am able to install DOS, Win 3.x and Win95...
