NT service integrit.exe hogs CPU

When my NT server boots up , I notice in the task manager a service Integrit.exe hogging up all the CPU and memory resources. I waited for about 45 min hoping to see if the CPU utilisation will come down but I see only disk activity and no change in the CPU utilisation level. Even after I shutdown and restart I have the same problem. I have a 40GB disk with NTFS partitioned as 4 drives. CHKDSK went thru fine. I have NT 4.0 with SP6 loaded on the machine. would appreciate if any body can help.
