Comment: I am trying to setup NT Server on one large partition, but NT setup keeps telling me 1024 MB max. How can I set it up on a larger partition approx 15 Gig?

Reply: (edit)It sounds vaguely (is that spelled right?) familiar like when I first started working with NT. I had partitioned the drive with fdisk first. Wipe all partitions with fdisk or delpart and then install it on a blank drive. NT will do the partitioning and formatting. Just a note, if this is a practice server, tell NT to just use 2gig for your initial partition that gives you lots of room to play with using disk admin. Also there's lots of theories on using/not using pagefiles, dos partitions, where they should be used and put. We're resolving numerous configurations here down to one standard but we've found that no one solution is right for all situations. Experiment and choose for yourself. On the other hand if this is for business. A dos partition for troubleshooting and a pagefile is suggested, make the min/max settings the same (ex:100min 100 max).
