nt server c:\winnt files disappear

hi my nt server gets crashed very frequently.The files & folders in c:\winnt gets deleted automaically. after the problem occurs very few foders remains in c:\winnt. All other data remains as it is. The server is a pdc & dhcp server. When problem comes nothing remains on desktop.

files don't delete automatically.
You either have someone hacking your system and deleting files or they come up missing due to disk corruption and chkdsk is repairing the file tables. This would "unallocate" these sectors and thereby the files come up missing.
are you defragging your server drive? is it ntfs? how old is the drive?
