Hi,
We have only one NT server and last night it crashed after security update. The blue screen comes up with stop error from ntoskrnl.exe. I've installed a bare bones copy as "winnt2" and have the system running. However, I'm wondering how I get the user accounts from the original winnt load to show up on the winnt2 load.

This is a thought since it has been awhile since I found myself in your shoes.

Make a rdisk from winnt2. Once complete copy the files from the repair folder under winnt original. Use this updated rdisk and do a "repair" of winnt2. Replace only the sam. This should get the accounts into winnt2.

Though you really should try to fix your original winnt. Try safe mode or look at MS web site for is a security update goes bad.

Thanks Wanderer,

I ended up upgrading the drive to 2K. It's taking a while to get everything setup, but I know this is the best bet in the long run.
