This happens because the profile wasn't properly deleted last time they logged out. Check to see which files weren't deleted. NT will then create a new profile directory when the next login occurs. If this one is not deleted it will continually create them: .000 .001 .002 etc. Not really a problem, but you can always just manually delete the old one.
