NT Policies

Help. How do you get NT policies to work. We follow instructions and store the policy as ntconfig.pol in the netlogon share. When we then log on at either the server or a workstation (NT4) the policy dosn't load.

I do know that it takes 2 full reboots for the policy to take effect. Try that first. Make sure they don't have any overriding policies at their local machine either.

....And/Or stop and start the Net Logon service. If System Policy does not take effect, re-evaluate the policies themselves.

Plus you associate the user/groups with the policy you created in Pole Edit.. or whatever it is! :)

May be worth attributing a batch script to run when the ntws logs on to the pcd. Also need to assign a home directory on the nt box from user manager for domains.
