NT passwords connecting to UNIX

I am deploying a bounch of NT workstations on to our primarily UNIX facility. I don't want to have to setup individual boxes. I want any artist to be able to sit behind any box and be able to log in. Does anyone know how I can get an NT box to talk to an NIS (YP) server?

Justin,
You will have to enable plain text password in the registry. Complete the following.
1. Run regedt32 and select hkey_local_machine. 2. Locate System,CurrentControlSet,services,RDR,parameters. 3.Click on edit and add value. Type in EnablePlainTextPassword and make it type REG_DWORD. Data is 1.
This should solve your problem, they will still need to enter both an NT password and a UNIX Password.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Stewart

Two solutions I believe:
1. Tivoli provides(or used to) an application that makes NT see yp as a PDC :)
2. I believe TotalNet Advanced Server provides NT-yp translation on the Unix box's side
