We have an NT4 workstation that is not showing up in Network Neighborhood. The workstation can see all the resources and can connect to the Exchange Server fine. If I do a search for the computer name from my workstation I can find the missing computer and access it that way. Server manager sees the computer name, but it is greyed out even though the user is online. I can connect to the machine via remote control software over IP and control it. I can PING it by using its NetBios name. I have removed and re-added the computer to the domain. I have also put in the IP addresses for the Primary and secondary Wins server in the NN properties for the workstation, but all of these things have not solved the issue. We are running an NT4 network with WINS, DNS, DHCP. Is there a way to force the workstation to announce itself in NN or is something turned off that would prohibit the worstation from being shown in the Browse list for the network? HELP!

Try mapping a drive and see if it shows up.
NN sometimes is tricky, remember that it has that 15 minute delay after adding a PC and 51 minutes after disconnecting it.
If you can map a drive then it`s working.

I have been having the exact same problem as Jeremey. Thing is this has been happening for 6 months. Have tried everything but still am unable to see the machine name in Network Neighbourhood. I can ping the machine using the NetBios name. I know of 2 instances of this on the company network.
Besides a rebuild of Workstation on the PC, I can't think of anything else (although I havent tried this yet !)
Cheers
