Hi,
I'd like to replace my evaluation version of Server with a new copy of Server.
Trouble is I tried doing it with a 95 boot disk and it didn't work. I am troubleshooting a floppy disk problem now as I got an error trying to see if I had all the files on that floppy. But I still would like to know how to remove the eval version and install the new version.
Thanks for your help in advance.

The links posted above have a typo error...

These are the correct links...

http://www.ntfaq.com/ntfaq/install10.html
http://www.ntfaq.com/ntfaq/install11.html

And if you have problems in deleting 'NTFS' partitions following the second method/link above, then download the < delpart.exe > util from:

http://hercules.lss.ksu.edu/download/MSSTUFF/index.htm

(parent site: http://hercules.lss.ksu.edu)

This will remove just about any partition, and is useful item from the NT3.51 Resource Kit, and it was omitted from the NT4 RK. But you shouldn't really need it if you follow John Savill's instructions...

Good luck,

LM-S

do a search for delpart.exe, d/l and run it from a dos boot disk. This will allow you to remove an NTFS partition. Then install your new version.
