Hi..
I need to run Windows Media Server 4.1 on Windows XP. Unfortunately, it's designed for Windows NT 4.0 Server. But I guess Windows XP contains all the required features to run it. Is there any way I can workaround the setup application, it disables the server setup under windows XP? Can I somehow force its installation?
I'll be so glad if this can be done.
Thanks in advance.

Virtual-PC might allow you an approach/option that would suffice?

Yes, I second that. Virtual PC is one of those apps that when you have it you can't imagine what you did without it and amazingly, it's FREE from M$, I still find it difficult to believe!.

You can also try VMWare Workstation as well (www.vmware.com). There is more features compared to Virtual PC but its more complicated to use than Virtual PC. I use both, because VMWare has better sound quality for recording computer programs which needs audio (like MASH Characters) and also of the snapshot feature and the networking capabilities. I use Virtual PC because its a lot easier to use, has a better BIOS look and is easier to install.
