Hi Friends,

I have NT Server 4.0 with DEC DLT 2000 15/30 GB tape drive and 3 physical drives. Now I used to take stop all services from server which i am able to stop before taking full backup as it was giving me some file open errors.

i have following questions.

1)is it necessary to stop all services before taking complete backup

2)if i am not stopping all service, am i able to restore fully from backup in the case of server crash.

3)is there any single command in NT 4.0 to stop all services

3)how to run scripts for taking backup after office hours.

Thanking you all

Joggy
