Use Shutdown.exe from the NT Resource Kit. Launch from server or workstation.

script e.g., shutdown \\MACHINE NAME /t:90

the /t parameter above allows 90 seconds before forced shutdown.

Run as a scheduled task.

HTH.

Will using this type of shutdown also close any open programs and shares?
