My NT 4 Server keeps rebooting on its own. First time I've had this problem, can you help? Much appreciated.

Look in the event log for a dump file. NT will reboot when something causes a crash. Before rebooting it will create a dump file which can be used to troubleshoot the cause of the crash. Good luck!

How far does it get in the booting process? I had a similar problem with a server of mine..I would get to the blue screen and then it would start over again. It could be a myriad of problems.....

i have the same problem with my laptop. i reboot with ntfsdos, there is only 12MB free space, the pagefile is about 100mb. the last thing i did was installing the new Compaq Insight Manager 4.22, he reclamed that there was not enough space so i dechecked some options. After installing i restarted the machine and.. constant rebooting after showing the blue screen ?!?! Is there a free erdcommander or an ntfsdos that can write and delete on the ntfs partition, so i can make some free space?

Check your GINA entries in the Registry are not in conflict. Some 3rd party software alters GINA entries which causes NT Server/Workstation to keep rebooting, especially PC Anywhere/Dr Solomons.

Check in the system properties, Startup/Shutdown tab, in the recovery section there is a setting that automaticaly reboots the system after a STOP error occurs. If this does not work... swap out the power supply... it worked for me.
