Hi,

since Service Pack there is an alternative HAL.DLL included.
Just extract the SP with "sp4i386.exe /x" and search for the HAL.DLL.SOFTEX

Now rename this file to HAL.DLL and overwrite the existing File in \winnt\system32.

In addition to that you have to make a registry-change:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Change the REG_SZ for "PowerdownAfterShutdown" to "1".

Now the machine should shutoff after shutdown.

For DualProzessor-System is the System stopped with HAL.DLL.SOFTEX from ServicePack 4.
