System cannot load because this file is corrupt or missing. winnt\40\system32\config\systemrdware Profile// This system cannot be wipped as it runs a machine. I really need any help to what I can do to try and get it going. Thanks in advance
When I boot into VGA mode it stops with an error reading. Windows NT could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINNT40\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I have NEVER had last good config EVER work for me.
OK your next step is a reinstall but with a twist. When asked for the install folder and the default is winnt make it winnt2. This way you will have an install that works and perhaps you can fix the original install by replacing the stated bad files with good ones. Make sure the two are on the same service pack.
