NT 4 Wont Format my 20gig Drive????

Ok here my problem. Ive got a 20 gig HD that im trying to put NT 4 on it. I want to split the drive 5 and 15 and have them be NTFS. Well i split the drive and go to format them before i install, and it says that my drive is to big to format. ??? I tryed it with FAT as well but still the same error.

NT, out of the box, will only install to 4gig max. You can install to larger but there are tricks. See here http://www.windows2000faq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=13922
You can do the atapi.sys method but the draw backs are that you have a fragmented MFT for NTFS. You also can not exceed 7.8gig for boot/system since there is a ntfs/bios boot bug that can render your system nonbooting. The link above solves that issue.

Summary: I think what is being said is that you can connect the drive normally to the system and use NT to partition and format it. In NT you use Disk Administrator. You should be on service pack 6a for NT. ...
