Please Help. I am working on a PC that is part of a network (4 Clients) 1 File Server all running NT 4 Service Pack 6. The server uses MindSring ISP dial up with a 56K Internal modem that works great. The problem is that on one workstations a 3com US Robotics External 56k was just installed. The modem dials up perfectly and authenticates well. The modem logs into the ISP at 48000kbs. I can ping differnt websites perfectly. Simple TCP/IP and PPP are all setup. I cannot see any websites. I have updated to IE6 and reset all setting on browser to default. I still cannot see a webpage. Any clues on how I solve this issue?

Does your ISP require you to connect through a proxy? Check your proxy server settings in Internet explorer and check they are the same on workstation. Make sure the port is correct.
If you can ping sites i can only think your isp requires you to set a proxy address to browse.

Still no Luck.
The ISP Midspring Does not require unique PROXY or DNS settings.
I am still Internetless. I have deleted the dial up connections, uninstalled the modem (varias times) and still nothing.
