Comment:
I have been searching for Sound Blaster Vibra XV 16 PnP (ct4170) drivers for NT 3.51 and I find nt 4, win 3.x, and 95+. Would the NT 4 driver work? 3.x wouldn't because it is dos based driver right. Or is there a driver and I'm not looking hard enough? I've searched creative.com and they didn't even mention NT below 4.0. Can anyone help me find a driver that works with Nt 3.51???

It may be too new..i have a very useful cd with almost every creative driver released (i think..adds up to about 125) up to 1999..and though it doesnt list any vibra XV's, i expect , like all drivers, most of the common os's were included for compatability..nt351 and especially nt31 are not usually included among them. I wouldn't ever suggest you stop searching...but if your multibooting and want to keep using that card with the other os's, maybe install a second card and deactivate it in all the other os's...or else replace it while your using nt351..sb16 and awe32 cards are dirt cheap these days...

The Vibra XV card uses the same drives as a SB16, do you have an NT 3.51 setup for a SB16? A SB16 PnP driver would help, I know NT 3.51 doesn't have plug and play support, but the vibra XV is "plug and play compatable"

is it a isa-card? Only Isa-cars will work on NT 3.51 (except ALS 4000). If you have no driver set up in drivers panel as a Sound Blaster 2.0/16 with A220 I5/7 D1
