Anyone got some experience with this? I'm about to install it on our small network 15 workstations, 1 server. Have not got internetaccess on server(due to security). Any Pros/cons installing the Console components and central quarantine on my workstation, and administer NAV from there?
Thankful for any tip! :-)

If the server you will run this off of does not have internet access I would not bother with the package. The whole idea of this software is to have a server retrieve the updates and push them out to the clients. I am using NAV CE 7.02 at my office and I have not had any problems with it. We have 6 NT 4.0 Servers and 116 clients. About 40 of those clients are NT and the others are 95. One of the problems you will see with the NT clients and servers is that you can't reboot them. Norton hangs them up for some reason. To work around this I turned on the "AutoEndTasks" in the registry and they were able to shut down after that.

The only problem I think you will have is that with your workstation being the only parent server. You may experience performance problems on the days that your clients are set to retrieve virus definitions or on scheduled scan days. Other than that, you souldn't have any significant problems. What you can do instead is set the clients to retrieve the virus definitions from the symantec internet server instead of from their parent server.
