Hello everybody!

I am totally new to networking and I want to make the following network:

1) NT4-SP6 Server with NT4 and/or 2K Workstations will connect through analog modems. I only want the WS to send files to the Server (No Internet needed).

2) The Server has 2 Network Cards (1 from Mobo and 1 external).
I have only installed the mobo one. I use PDC. Also, sth with '...WAN Wrapper' appears in Bindings, in some protocols there are 2 of them with exactly the same name (Do I have to deactivate 1 of them and which one?).

3) I guess only TCP/IP is needed, so which Protocols-Services-Binding Settings do I have to set?

4) Server has Domain Name: DOMAIN and WS have Workgroup name:DOMAIN.

5) There isn't any Firewall loaded.

6) At Server, I have created a User Name: ABC with a Password and in the WS a Dial-Up connection with the same UN-PW and Domain Name:DOMAIN. Which settings should I make for User ABC (e.g. member of Administrators or Domain Users...,local or global account, etc.)

7) Which TCP/IP IP-WINS-DNS-Gateway Settings should I make?

8) When I dial from WS to Server, it says it's connected but I can’t see the User from the Server in 'Computers Near Me'. I guess I will be able to transfer files with Copy-Paste.

9) I also want the Server to identify the caller and connect only if it's in a database with acceptable callers. Only Call back can do this and is there another setting necessary for this?

10) How can you make a back-up from Server since there is no USB? I think of ZIP Parallel or can I do it from a WS-PC if I connect and copy files from the server?

I know I have a lot of questions, but I tried to be as more specific as I can to identify the problem with the highest possible detail.

Thank you in advance for your help
