I just installed Windows NT 3.1 on my PC and have the mouse hooked up and it worked on the pervious OS which was Windows 98.

I suspect that it could be that as NT3.51 is so old it cannot see the mouse on the PS/2 port. Check in the BIOS to see if there is a setting that will make the mouse PS/2 port simulate a standard COM serial port

I can get a serial and PS/2 mouse to work ok in NT3.1...

Not USB tho.

What kinda mouse is it?
