My nic card is automatically detected when installing WinNt4.0, but the second the machine boots up for the first time I get two messages in the event viewer. EL90X1: Has encountered a conflict in resources and could not load. (Event ID 5000) And... 3com 3c90x adapter driver service failed to start due to the following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning. (EVENT ID 7000)

Go to Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, WinNT Diagnostics. Check the resources tab to determine if the IRQ or I/O settngs for the card are conflicting with another device. If there is a conflict, use the driver software to attempt to set the card to a non conflicting value...

My nic card is not automatically detected when installing WinNt4.0, and when startinq I get this message in the event viewer.
