I have a network printer on a NT4 server. There was a brief power outage yesterday, and since then the printer refuses to print anything. I have 2 other network printers that work perfectly.

According to event viewer, the printer is working fine, yet it always recieves 0 bytes of data, and hence no print.

I do a reboot on the server, now things get weird. The printer locks any program that tries to do a print, and I cannot purge the docs. On top of that, I can't delete the printer from the server... it just hangs. Also, event viewer is now not seeing the print jobs.

So far I have powered doen the printer multiple times, reset the hub, and rebooted the server.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd probably try things like reinstalling SP6a on the print server.. then possibly try reinstalling jetadmin.. or whatever it is you use to manager the printer. Hope I've been of some help
