Network Password on NT

I have recently acquired an IBM ThinkPad from and organisation that was upgrading and disposing of their old equipment. The problem is that all the NT Network Password requirements still need to be met before I can access windows. I cannot bypass this as it always looks for a network password via a network connection that no longer exists. Obviously I don't need access to this network, I just want to be able to use the laptop in a normal capacity. Is there anyway I can overcome this problem??

Hi,
It's probably well worth a fresh install.
If you don't want to go through all that, there is a unix boot floppy to rest all passwords.

You don't need a 'network' (presume you mean domain) username/password, you need a local Administrator password (if there is a drop down box with options, one will be the actual machine).
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ has utility to let you reset local passwords - reset Administrator and you should be ok.
Summary: Wondering how I go about setting up sharing a network resource on NT 4.0 Server. Seems I can only share LOCAL hard disks. Thanks in advance :) ...
Summary: I have 150 NT servers and I need to change the local admin password on all of them. Does anyone know of a utility that will help automate this task?...
