Hi everyone,
On my NT 4.0 machine, I can not open Bitmaps. The Icon for bmp's comes up as a Paint Brush icon. I can open the MS Paint program, but it will not recognize the *.bmp extension. I think at some point I was asked, "always open with?" And I opened a Bitmap with the Paint Brush program.
I don't know how to revert it back. Every *.bmp I load on to my PC now shows the Paint Brush icon.
highlight your icon and hold shift and hit the right mouse..that should give you the option to opein ith again and select desire program. make sure you select always open with program

Open Windows Explorer/View/Options/FileTypes. Select and edit "Bitmap Image" from the Registered File Types list. Select "open" from the Actions list, then select "Edit". Modify the "Application used to perform action" field for the name of the program you want used.
