Mouse low performance

OS: NT 4.0
CPU/Ram: 450MHz, 560MRAM

I do not run many Apps on my system but sometimes the mousepointer is moving with interrupts and very slow and the buttons to press do not react or are very slowly. The process monitor shows only cpu usage of 10%.

Mouse is logitech with latest SW version.

The problem might not be with the mouse but rather the video settings, set the display properties to the highest that you can go and follow what happens to the mouse. My experience has been that if the wrong video driver is installed the mouse will do some pretty wierd things.

Some Dutch cheese might help ;-)
but I still think their is an Application or service running in the background and is polling for input once in a while
