So if ipconfig -all does not give you the modems like it does the network cards is there a command to do so? I know some of you are going to say look at the back of the machine. But I can not do that I need to know a commad or something of the like to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How about the Control panel?
(Start > settings > control panel > modems)

That's where you configure the modem, so that's where you can also check the configuration settings.
