I've installed my Creative Labs modem in my NT 4/Win 98 box and added hardware like you're supposed to in NT 4. Everything looks like it's right but when I try to dial out it comes back with a 692 port or device error. The modem says its installed on COM2 but it's not listed anywhere else that I can find. I've installed the modem with what the Creative Labs site says is the correct drivers but it's still a no go. Any suggestions?

Is it a WinModem? I had a similiar problem with an LT WinModem, and found that the modem preferred to be on COM3 but since my serial mouse was COM1 then NT would only put the modem on COM2 or COM4. You may want to try changing your mouse port or modifying your serial port addresses in the BIOS.
