Subject: missing ntvdm error when booting
OS: NT 4.0 sp5
CPU/Ram: ,
Model/Manufacturer: Dell Poweredge
Comment:
When booting the server the OS will not load, a messase will state ntvdm.exe is missing or corrupt. I have a copy of the file and would like to copy it over, but I am unable to boot to ms-dos. How can I make a ms-dos startup disk since I do not have the Windows NT 4.0 cd?

Select full fomat option
Once done leave the window open.

When you are finished copying the files, in the (C:) window, from the View menu, select Options.

Select the View tab and click the radio button next to Hide files of these types: . Click OK.

Test the bootup disk by leaving it in the disk drive and restarting the computer.
