Hi, I wonder if someone can help? Our NT4 PDC Crashed very hard! We now only have the BDC(NT4) and other servers W2K and 2003. We are using roaming profiles. With the PDC gone we cannot add anything to the domain, and users logging in have to use the locally stored roaming profile. Our solution to our problem is to install a new W2k server with active directory and migrate from the NT4 BDC.
Can someone tell me if this possible? and the steps to take. Our fear is that it isn't and we have to recreate the whole domain from scratch!!!

Could try a more specialist server forum like http://www.tek-tips.com/threadminde...

Have you completely lost the NT4 PDC?

I only look at single PDC domains - and haven't had an NT server machine to look after for 4 or 5 years, so can't really help - but that tek tips forum may be of use. I suspect you will have to start from scratch (no backup of PDC?)
