Microsoft Proxy server 2 dialling

I've set up the dialling hours for the proxy server. However when I look in the log in the MSPLOGS directory, there are sites being contacted out of these hours. Have I missed something? I've also noitced that in these logs sometimes there is no username listed, to I can't tell which machine is connecting to the internet. I have ISDN so I don't want machines connecting to the internet in the middle of the night! Many thanks

That is normal with Proxy server. Proxy has a cache of web pages stored on the drive to improve performance etc. What is happening during the night is the proxy server refreshing its cache of pages by systematically visiting all the sites and caching the pages again.
It does this so that the pages in the cache are as up-to-date as possible.
