Comment:

I have an NT machine with multiple accounts. I am the admin and I have a screen saver password protection set up and it locks the computer whenever it springs into action. When this happens, the other user cannot log on unless I am to give him Admin rights, which I prefer not to do.

What I want to do is use the screen saver password protection but not lock legitimate users out who may want to log on. How do I go about doing this? Thanks is advance

Um...log off when you're done on the machine is what comes to my mind.

Let me simplify this:

I do not want the current user to automatically lock the machine when the screen saver password protection is called into play. Is there a setting where the screen saver protection can still be used but not lock the machine onto the current user.

Anyone else?

If you have the Screen Saver set and require a password to unlock the screen saver, it will do exactly that, because that is the function of the password protected screen saver. So, the answer to your question "Is there a setting where the screen saver protection can still be used but not lock the machine onto the current user?" is no.
