Comment:

When I log into our nt domain, the script runs. I see how you can "maximize" the login script by clicking on arrows so the window/login script covers the whole page, but how do I minimize it once it maximized? I have one machine that's doing this and I'm not sure how to minimize the login script. It's so annoying! Any suggestions? Thanks.

No... Echo off serves only to remove the display of commands that stand in a batch file.

If I well understook your problem (in fact, that the screen jumps to DOS view, then come backs to Win while login script is run), the best should be to modify the default setting for your command - dos screen.

To do this :
1. Open a cmd windows.
2. If it get in full windows, press Alt Tab to come back to the desktop
3. Right-click on the cmd - program button in the task bar, and select properties
4. In the options tab, you have a display option which should be on 'Full Screen'. Set it on 'Window' and agree the changes.
5. Close your cmd window (OK). When it close, it ask you if you want to save it for all windows or only current one. Choose all...

Comment :
- Steps for NT 4. Other versions should be similar, but I'm not sure
- Say to your user not to play with dos games in full screen mode ;-))

You can get it too by the registry under keys HKCU\Console. This registry information is given without any warranty that it would work.

But the first way works ! Quite sure !!
