Hello all!
I have 10 NT4 machines set up as a workgroup using novell 4.11 for the file server and authentication. all machines have manually assigned IP's, all have 3com 3c905B nic, all have VNC set to autostart upon boot. I reboot certain pc's from my VNC window, wait a few minutes, log back into the rebooted pc, I can see the CtrlAltDel login screen, at which point I login to the pc. Problem is on three other pc's, after waiting a few minutes for the reboot to complete, I launch VNC from my pc to login to the rebooted pc, enter the IP address, enter the password, and it says Authorization Failed! Yet if I walk up to the pc, log it in, go back to my pc, try VNC'ing back into that pc, it lets me. Has this occured to anyone else?

It sounds like the VNC 'default' and 'current user' passwords are not the same. Before anyone is logged in to the computer, VNC will use the default settings (start > programs > vnc > administrative tools > show default settings). Try changing the default password to the one you are using and see if that solves the problem.
