Comment:

I administer an NT 4 network. I have a user running NT 4 workstation who cannot change printer option (portrait to duplex) when logged in as user. If I log in as administrator I can change the options. Adding the user to the local administrator group on the pc did not help. Thanks in advance.

As I understand this printer is a network printer ??
Permission are set on the printerdriver
e.g. There is "just print" and "manage printjobs"

This may be a dumb answer, but after you added her to the local administrators group - did she log on locally or on the domain? She'll need to log on locally in order for it to work.

To clarify:

This is a network printer and the user logs onto the domain. The user's domain account is part of the local administrators group on the pc. When logged onto the domain, this user can install software locally but cannot change simple printer options (i.e. portrait to landscape). Thanks.

Is her printer pointing to a printer on a print server? If so, What are the printer permissions for that particular printer on the server?
