I have NT workstation, I want a user to be able to log on to the workstation but not the network, ie a local log on, how do set that up?

When the system starts and you press alt ctrl delete, you can select a domain and you should have two options, your network domain and the local system.
select the local domain and log in..

Thanks mike, Put how do i set up the password for this, so they can only log on locally and not have access to the network. do i set it up as a normal account?

Use USRMGR.exe on the local machine - create the user here and delete their account in the Domain (if they have one). You may need admin rights to the local machine to create accounts.

You may well find that it is actually MUSERMGR.exe that manages local users on a workstation. USERMGR.exe is for the domain management.
