Local Admin Rights

Comment:
I stepped into a network that didn't allow users to have Admin. rights on their local machines. I want them to be. Is there a quick way to enable all-users to be local admins on all machines?? Thanks.

the resource kit has globaltolocal. you need to run this as a user who already has local admin rights on the wkstns. create a textfile specifying domain and a list of the wkstns. create a global group for the users or use an existing one. put them in it and add the global group to the administrators on the pcs. use the help to get the correct syntax. this worked for me to give a lot of users rights on a group of member servers - which like workstations keep their own sams. only as isaid , you can only do this as someone who has local rights on them already - or as I had to, map a drive to each- also through a script, so that once you are on it will allow the utli to run.
