I am trying to load Windows NT Server to dual boot with Win98 Fat 32. I have been using 98 on this computer and want to avoid reformatting. I am getting two error messages. One says Can't load NT Boot loader and the other is a missing NTDLL.DLL NT Query Symbolic Link Object.
Please Help

It's a sad fact of life, NT cannot be installed onto FAT32. You have to entirely repartition and spit the drive up into several 2gig or smaller partitions in order for the two to coexist peacefully. Problems or questions? Email me.

AS Ryan advises...
You can't install NT onto a '98 installation that has a FAT32 ( C: ) system (active primary) partition...
For a dual-boot NT/'9x you must have a FAT16 system (active primary) partition. This is where M$ OS's install their boot/start-up files... whilst the actual system (OS) files can go elsewhere...
Short of an Fdisk/reformat to create a smallish FAT16 system partition (around 250Meg is nice...) you are into using a boot-manager...

will shed more light for you in this direction...
Need more info. on installing a dual-boot (if you decide to Fdisk etc...).. come back?
