I am trying to install a linksys dsl router on my network. I have a nt server that is a dchp client and my pc (5 ) are win 98. The problem is I can't get the pc's to see the router even though I have assigned it an ip and disabled dhcp routing on the router.Help!!

What IP scheme are you using? Give us the individual internal IP's of your systems, and the router.
If they're all on the same subnet, then you've got a confusing problem.
Chase

I am using 172.19.19.1 subnet 255.255.254.0 for the server and 172.19.19.100 subnet 255.255.255.0 for the router

OK. Thought so. The subnet mask should be the same on all your boxes, and the router. If it's not, then it modifies two things: The network address, and the broadcast address.
The network address is the address of the wire itself, and the broadcast address is just that. When one system broadcasts to find your server, the message never gets there.
You should always run the same network, and network mask on all your devices (at least, for a little network), and change the IP per device. Try this:
Router 172.19.19.1, 255.255.255.0
Server 172.19.19.2, 255.255.255.0
PC1 172.19.19.3, 255.255.255.0
Set the gateway on the server and PC1 to 172.19.19.1.Your problems should go away.
Good luck,
Chase
