Prolem is on a Laptop running NT Workstation 4.0. When you remove it from the network and try to run it independently it will not let you by the Logon screen. It keeps saying it can't find the Server. How do I bypass this.
Thanks!

Are you changing the Domain: prompt to show the workstation's name instead of the network domain name?
NT login asks for username, domain, and password. When on the network you probably set the domain field to that of the NT domain. The user is authenticated to the domain SAM. When off the network you must change the domain field to that of the local workstation (it's netBIOS name). You must have a user account on the local SAM.

Thanks Geoff,
That was it. The laptop was a hand me down and the new user was not added to the local system. All is well in NT land now.
Thanks again!
