I have Windows NT and when I use Netscape 4.79 or IE 5.5, I can surf anywhere and do anything as long as I don’t touch the keyboard. As soon as I try to type something, enter a password, press the page down key, or hit enter, Dr Watson comes on and shuts down the internet program I’m running. The only way I could post this message is to write it in Word, copy it, the paste it into the website using my mouse!
I have already tried the following to no avail:
Switching keyboards
Uninstalling and reinstalling Netscape and Explorer Versions
Uninstalling and upgrading Netscape and Explorer Versions
Disabling Dr. Watson
Running an updated Virus Scan
Running ScanDiscUnfortunately, I was given this computer by my former employer, so I cannot reinstall the service pack.
Any suggestions? I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

This was a problem i had with several machines... i've found that Mcafee and the spyware that comes along with file sharing programs (like kazaa) did this consistantly. The conflict between the programs cause Explorer.exe and Iexplore.exe to crash with the press of any keystroke. I close kazaa, and iexplorer works.. i open kazaa and explorer crashes.
If you have mcafee & kazaa i bet a mil this is your problem.you can switch to norton.
Close kazaa when your browsing.
Adaware is a program you can use to go through to clean out the spyware that's on your pc. but then you'll need the fix that will let kazaa run without the sypware.. i forget what it's called.hope this helps.

Hey, thanks alot for your reply! You are so right!
I exited out of Kazaa completely about a week ago
because I was sick of the pop up windows and my
internet's been working fine ever since! I read
about spyware on download.com but I never heard of
this problem so I never made the connection. I
can't thank you enough!
