I just installe NT4 server on one of my machines. I connected it to a Linksys DSL router. I just cannot get a IP adress from the router(it has built in DHCP server)
I thaught it may be a NIC driver problem, but I tried two different NIC's. I have no problem with the same machine running 2000pro. I tried NT4 workstation, same problem. All the ports on the router are working properly. I can do a loopback ping, but cannot ping the router. If any one has an idea please respond. Thank you.

Are you sure the netwrok adapter is proparly instaled... Nt 4 may not have drivers for the new adapters.. and you need to install them your self.

The NIC is properly installed, and I manually installed the drivers. At first I was just trying it without installing any service pack, but I tried it with SP6, still same thing.
