Internet connection problem

I have internet connection problem, when i try to connect to internet i get error message like,"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site http://home.microsoft.com/.
A connection with the server could not be established".
My network using Wingate as proxy server.
When i try to ping to my internet server i cann't from the computer from where i get error messaage like above. But when i replace
computer with another one and try to ping and connect to internet i can. Both computer i configured same way.

pls help me.

It sounds like wingate client may be configured differently for both machines. If you can ping successfully from one machine, but not the next, it must either be
1> Wingate client not configured properly
2> IE proxy settings not configured right
3> TCPIP settings not configured properly
