internet connection problem (newbie)

I'm a new NT user and I can't seem to connect to the internet with a newly installed NT system. The wizard can't find Telnet.exe and other files on my NT cd, so I'm wondering if there's a way to manually deal with TCP/IP etc. Does anyone know how to do this on NT?
Also, will I always have to go through the Admin log-on? or is there a way to disable this feature so I can just boot up and go. I also have to highlight Windows NT 4.0 with the cursor during start-up (right before the log-on), is there a way to automate this?

We need more info. How are you trying to connect? Dial-up (phone line) or cable modem? Also, who is your ISP (internet service provider)?

I'm trying to connect with a dial-up connection. This worked before when the computer was running Windows 95, but then the computer's C: drive was reformatted and NT was installed. AOL is the ISP, and I have a install disk. When trying to use the install disk I get an error about it not finding the correct files. It does the same thing if I click on the IE icon, or the 'Internet Startup Wizard' (I recently added MS Office.
