Comment:

I have an NT box with 2 NICs, for home LAN and cable internet connection to set top box (Enternet 300 is used to access).

I want to share the internet connection to 4 PCs running Win 98 and XP. Can this be done by NT alone or must I run additional proxy server type software?

Currently I am using Wingate its service works OK, but there seems to be a problem running its interface software, gatekeeper.

NT itself has no provisions for Internet Connection sharing. You'll need to locate a suitable Proxy Server. A search on Google should return several possiblilities.

AnalogX is a decent server and is free. Check it ou here;
